APHRODITE STATEMENT

Inspired by the goddess Aphrodite's emergence from the sea, Carrie Notari created these photographs in 2003. The series features montaged images of jelly fish, anemones, starfish and sea dragons with female figures. The images evoke a serene, contemplative vision of the floating world.

The digital photographs are printed with Ultrachrome Inks on Epson Luster paper and are archival for 100+ years (compared to the 20 year life span of a chromogenic c-print). All prints are signed, dated, numbered in a limited edition of 6 and available in 5 different image sizes ranging from 13” x 19” up to 44” x 66”.
